Hi mamas! My name is Alicia Prettyman. I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan until I was 8 years old and moved here to San Diego and been here ever since. I went to Mt. Carmel High School in the Poway Unified School district where I met my husband, Tom, and have been together since 2007, married in 2015. We welcomed our son, Liam in April 2016 and has been keeping us on our toes ever since he arrived. I first learned about Stroller Strides from my older sister who attended back in 2011. I knew that when I had my son, I would be joining this amazing group of mamas and joined when he was 9 months old. I instantly fell in love with it as everyone welcomed me with open arms, showing me love and support and most importantly welcomed my son and showed him the same amount of love as their own child. I didn't realize how much I needed these mamas during this time in my life and now it is my turn to give the same right back. I cannot wait for you to join us and our village!!more
Hi! I'm Allison Cappabianca, you can call me, Alli. I was born and raised in beautiful Bay Park. I grew up loving sports and all things outdoors and spent much time combining those two things right across the 5 freeway at Mission Bay. When I was a teen, I started seeing a bunch of moms running around pushing strollers while I was running or conditioning at the Bay, and thought, "Huh, that's cute..." Then, at the beginning of 2016, a couple months after having my son, Jameson, I started looking for mom groups to join and found FIT4MOM. After our first Stroller Strides class, we were hooked!
My husband, James, is in the military and we've moved around and travel quite a bit. Everywhere we go we look up the local franchise to try to get in a good workout and meet the local Village of incredible mamas and babies. My heart feels like it could explode thinking about all the love we have felt from all the different Villages we have visited during our travels. I am beyond excited, though, that now we will get to stay here, in my hometown, and I will have the opportunity lead and make strides in fitness and motherhood with all the superb mamas of San Diego!! If we haven't met yet, I can't wait to meet and sweat with you! Let's do this mama!!
Hey gals! My name is Amy Brzezniak. I have a 1 year old daughter named Kylie! I am originally from St.Louis, MO. I am a navy wife and lived in San Diego for 4 years. I finally feel like I have found my place in San Diego with Stroller Strides! I was super lonely after months of having a baby with no mommy friends, I eventually found SS......I love that I can workout, have my child with me and build amazing friendships! Can it get any better than that?more
I'm a mother of three very active little boys: Ethan who is 7, Bryan 4, and Kia born April 2014. I've been teaching Stroller Strides for six years, and absolutely love the program. I live and teach in Point Loma,
and I couldn't ask for a better location! My Stroller Strides classes focus a lot on
child interaction, but I'll get you sweating while singing 10 little
monkeys. I recently added Stroller Barre on Mondays, and love the new challenge. I've also ben teaching Body Back for three years, and have seen the most amazing transformations in body, mind and spirit! Fitness is my passion surpassed only by motherhood!
Hi Mamas! I am a true new-American mutt who grew up in Lexington, KY, family from Bogota, Colombia, and now married to a Frenchy :) My twin sister and I grew up as tomboys in a house full of girls and loved all things sports and outdoors. My husband and I moved to San Diego from Germany in 2016 (how amazing was it to live in Europe... extra plug for Barcelona!!), for a job he couldn't resist. I was an Engineer for over 10 years, but once I had my son, Mateo, in 2017, I realized very quickly, I had no desire to go back to the crazy hours (as much as I loved it) that came with it. I saw this mass group of strollers in a nearby park and thought whaaaaa?? I was skeptical, but tried it out bc, gym daycare so early, no thanks. The instructor was amazing (shout out to Ann Ross!) and I was pretty much hooked from there. I still cannot get over how amazing this community is, how supportive and encouraging all the mamas are, and now I get to work with them... it's beyond words. Staying fit, healthy, active, but still enjoying myself (foodie yes please) has always brought me happier and happier over the years and now I can do that with my son in my every day life. Life is good in SD :) Come join our village and experience the same love for it we all have!more
Hi Mammas!! I grew up in Murrieta, CA and moved to San Marcos in 2004 after I graduated high school to began my college education at Cal State San Marcos. I met my husband at the school gym in 2006 and we have lived here ever since! I heard about Stroller Strides through a friend who lived in San Elijo and would see the mammas doing their workouts through town. By the time my son Evan was 3 months old we had been through many mommy and me FAILED experiences and were happy to try something new. One class at San Elijo stroller strides gave this mamma EXACTLY what she was looking for!! I was having a hard time transitioning from being a full time student at CSUSM, to a graduate who worked full time and got to exercise 5-6 days a week, to being a FULL TIME MAMMA with a husband who traveled 3 weeks out of the month. The style of workout combined with the community of women who knew exactly what I was going through was the 'perfect storm' of BLISS I needed. Needless to say, Stroller Strides became my sanity! Even on the nights where I only got 3 hours of sleep and barely managed to get out of the house with my only intention being to get to class and walk, the energy of the instructor and the mammas pushed me to be a better, happier version of myself and ultimately a better mamma to Evan! These are the reasons we have been a part of the stroller strides family for almost 4 years now and the reason I decided to become an instructor. As moms we all have something in common and I would be honored to bring light to a moms day as so many have done for me!more
I am from Milwaukee WI and went to college at West Virginia University, where I played soccer. Staying in shape and athletics have always been a huge part of my life. Then I had my son Walker. All I wanted to do was stay home with him, how was I going to do that? That is when I found Stroller Strides, and this wonderful program combined two of my favorite things, my child and working out. Little did I know what an effect all these wonderful mothers I would meet would have on me. We now have our second son Max born Sept '12, and Beckett born Sept '14, life couldn't be better. I don't know where I would be without Stroller Strides. I love everything about my job. :)more
Hi! I am the lucky mom of two crazy fun kids, my daughter Ellie (6 years) and son Bailey (3 years). I was first introduced to Stroller Strides when Ellie was just a few months old. I immediately loved the support network it brought to me during those insane early months of new motherhood! I grew up in Newport Beach and have been in San Diego for almost 20 years. We are here to stay in Oceanside and love spending our days at the beach, parks, and hanging with friends. I previously worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist but after having kids, I chose to be home with them. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Fit4Mom team now. It doesn't get much better than being able to be outside with my kids and guiding an amazing group of women toward health and overall wellness. Over the years I've loved running, triathlon, and crew but nothing compares to the all the positives Stroller Strides has brought to my life. I am excited to share that with you and hope to see you soon!
While I was pregnant with my son Rogan in 2014 I constantly was in thought, how as a certified personal trainer could I continue to work in a field I love and be able to bond with my child. As soon as I was introduced to Stroller Strides & Body Back, I knew I had found my calling. I love being part of all these mom's lives. They inspire me to be the best version of me I can be, for myself, for my child and for the Mom's that come to class.more
Whether you are new to exercise or have a love of it, the reality for most of us is that finding the time to take care of ourselves is challenging... Especially as mothers!
With FIT4mom I rediscovered my love of exercise and realized that its benefits extended far beyond the physical – I was happier, healthier, more comfortable in my own AND setting a great example for my children. And the greatest benefit of all is that I found my village! A community where women support, encourage and uplift each other! A place where friendships are made for moms and for babies!
I am so thankful for the opportunity to share all that FIT4MOM has to offer with women through our Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, Body Back and Personal Training programs! It is my goal is to help every mom who comes to our classes discover and benefit from the JOY, CONFIDENCE, ENERGY, SANITY and HEALTH that comes with fitness and making themselves a priority!
Aloha Mamas!! My name is Brittany but most people call me "Britt"!
I am a busy mama of Kynsleigh (4) and Keegan (2). I was born and raised in the Baltimore, Maryland area where I grew up playing all kinds of sports from swimming to soccer to lacrosse. My love for lacrosse led me to play Division I Lacrosse at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A few years after graduation I married my husband Andrew who was a US Marine, and we started traveling the world together wherever the Marine Corps sent us! I continued to stay active and continue to love running half marathons, hiking, surfing, triathlons, scuba diving and all things active.
We have had the opportunity to have lived all over the U.S. and have travelled the world together, including living at our last duty station in Hawaii for 3 years. When we first moved there I didn't know a soul and was a lonely mom, new to an unfamiliar island in the middle of the Pacific, with a 15 month old baby girl, until one day I saw a group of mama's running by the park with strollers, babies, and bands! I knew in an instant where I needed to be.... at their next class!! And so my love for stroller strides and all things Fi4Mom began! After 4 months of taking classes, I became an instructor at the end of 2014 and taught classes for 2 1/2 years in Kailua, HI until it was time for our family to move on.
My husband has since retired from the military and a job opportunity brought us to the San Diego area in July of 2017! Again, I found myself as a mama of 2 littles and we didn't know anyone in the area.... And what do you think I did first?! (well maybe I did it while we were still in Hawaii hehe) I emailed Fit4Mom San Diego and asked if I could join their tribe! ;)
So here we are! Kynsleigh, Keegan, and I can't wait to see you all at class!
My name is Caleen Froelich, I am the lucky mama to Gwen- 8 and Benjamin -5. We moved to Carlsbad the summer of 2016 from Portland, Oregon and are loving the sunshine. I have always been a lover all things fitness but did not make it my career until we moved to CA. I decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer and have never looked back, it has been so much fun. I love helping people find their healthiest self and encouraging them along the way. Once both of my kids went to school I knew I wanted to tap into training/coaching more but had a hard time finding a company that held the same thoughts on health/fitness as I did, until I found Fit4Mom. I love all of their programs and only wish I had found them when we first moved here, I sure could have used that village of moms having moved away from all of our friends and family. I am now Body Back certified and am so grateful to be a part of such an incredible group of women.more
Hi Ladies! My name is Calley Rogers. I was born and raised in Central WI. My family has been living in San Diego for the past 18 month and couldn't be more happy here. I am a Marine wife and a mother to two beautiful children. My son Able is 5 and my daughter Ryenn is 4. I have a passion for fitness, sports and creating new memories! If you don't see me at a Stroller Strides class, you'll see me with my family at the beach, hiking up a mountain or watching my kids play sports. I was introduced to Stroller Strides from a Marine wife after living out her for just 2 months. I was always a very timid and shy person, joining Stroller Strides has not only gave me a village and a great fitness routine I could do with my kids. It also has allowed me to peel back my layers and open up as a women. It has been an incredible experience and I just knew after a few months of taking classes that I wanted to be instructor. I currently am working as a sub all over the San Diego area!
Hey Mamas! My name is Cara and I am from Oceanside, Ca. I am the mother of one little boy named Corbin. He was born 1/2/13, since the moment he was walking he has kept me on my toes...he is my little ball of energy! I have always been very fitness oriented. Growing up I was a full time competitive gymnast and I still coach gymnastics now in my adult life. Growing up in the gym I learned early on how to eat healthy and workout. Once I had my son I was lost on how to continue the healthy lifestyle I once had while keeping up with a baby....until I found fit4mom! Once I was around other moms who I could relate with and who inspired me daily, I knew I had found where I belonged! Now that I am a body back instructor, I look forward to waking up every morning not just to teach, but to motivate and inspire other mamas to be Strong, Healthy, and Happy for themselves and their families!
I started Stroller Strides as a member when Bella was only 6 months. I met Summer Hixon and Sybille Steiner and was instantly hooked and told myself I want to inspire others the way these lovely ladies inspired me. So 4 years and -60 something pounds later I've not only become an instructor, held my own at my awesome Tierrasanta location, AND have been helping train future instructors! It has been mind blowing for me and oh so gratifying, mind, body, and soul! I LOVE my job!more
Hello, hello! I'm Charlene and am a proud military wife and boy mama of soon to be 3! I grew up in the Inland Empire and have enjoyed being stationed in the southern California area for the past 6 years. I first found Stroller Strides after having my eldest son Joseph back in May 2011. Having a village of moms combined with finding my strength for motherhood, both physically and mentally were just what this new mama needed! I became a Stroller Strides instructor later that year and was thrilled that I could do something I loved, share that passion with other mamas and also bring my kiddo to work with me each day! I'm honored to be a part of the Fit4Mom San Diego team!more
Hi everyone! My name is Chelsea and I'm a mom to two little girls. I grew up playing sports and have always loved fitness and exercising. In college, I majored in Kinesiology and knew I wanted to do something in the fitness industry. After I had my first baby, I was completely lost on how to start a new workout routine with my baby. Then I found Stroller Strides. I was instantly hooked! So much so that when my family decided to move out of the state I decided to start my own FIT4MOM franchise. After the weather deemed too cold for our San Diego blood, we moved back. I'm thrilled to be apart of the San Diego team now!more
Hi! I'm Christina! I was born and raised in Northern California and moved to San Diego in 2005 to go to grad school at San Diego State. I met my husband Travis soon after I graduated and decided to stay in San Diego and settle down. In January 2015, we welcomed our incredible daughter Cecilia into the world and our lives were completely changed for the better. Prior to having her, I ran a local cooking school and taught cooking classes full-time. While I was pregnant, my husband and I took many morning walks around Balboa Park and that was when I saw my first Stroller Strides class. Having always been a runner, I thought Stroller Strides would be perfect for me once I had my baby because I could take her along while I got a work out and met other moms. I took my first class when Cecilia was nine weeks old and I became a member before I left the park that day. We have both met our best friends through Stroller Strides and it has become such an important and life-changing part of both our lives. I don't know where we'd be without the love and support of our amazing village!more
I am originally from Texas but have lived in north San Diego since 2007. I am a mother of one amazing little girl who was born in 2012. She definitely keeps life interesting. I have been an athlete my entire life and after having a child I was in search of somewhere to get a good workout and connect with others going through things I was going through. I went to one Fit4mom Body Back class and was hooked. This is an amazing group and company and am so excited I get to be apart of it.more
Hi mamas! I'm Dayna! A San Diego native who loves to exercise and spend time with my family. I grew up playing sports, working out, and always keeping physically active. My husband, Dave and I have 2 awesome kiddos, Ryan (3 1/2) and Allie (1 1/2). I first started Stroller Strides when my son was 8 months old. I love being able to exercise and have my kids with me so they can see the importance of being active and living a healthy lifestyle. On the weekends I work as a registered nurse, becoming a Stroller Strides instructor made sense to me with having 5 days off during the week.
With Stroller Strides you get in an awesome workout, you gain a village of other moms just like yourself, and you/your babies make life long friends.
Hello I am Emily! I am a mother two beautiful baby girls, Selah and Gracelyn. I discovered Stroller Strides when I moved to North County San Diego from St. Louis, MO when my first daughter was just 9 months old. Not knowing a soul in San Diego, Stroller Strides became my life saver and new village. I love the community, friendship and strength it gave me when I didn't have much else. I have always been passionate about fitness, heath and building others up. I love helping moms become the best versions of themselves and being a good role model for my daughters at the same time.more

Hi! My name is Felissa, I am mom to Adelaide (6) and Lincoln (4), we just moved back to down from Orange County and parked ourselves in Oceanside. Since my kids weren't really stroller age anymore I missed the opportunity for Stroller Strides until I was introduced to Body Back. I could never find the time or motivation to go to the gym, so since the first time I tried it I was hooked. It's the perfect workout for mom's that want to get back into shape and challenge themselves. I'm happy to part of the Fit4Mom team and share the motivation onto others who deserve it. It's made the transition back down to San Diego a lot better and within the process I've met so many amazing and inspiring women. It's so much better to go through motherhood with those who can relate.more
My name is Gina and I live in beautiful Cardiff-by-the-Sea, CA with my
family. Back in Spring of 2008, when my son Henry was 6-months old, I
joined Stroller Strides as a member. From that very first Stroller
Strides class, I fell in love with the program and all that it offers to
mothers and children. Since September 2008, I have been an instructor
for Stroller Strides, and over the years have become more involved with
the San Diego franchise; most recently in January 2012, I became the San
Diego Manager for the franchise. Being an instructor for Stroller
Strides is an absolute joy, and I am thrilled to be part of such an
incredible company and team!

So when I had Jaxon I was somewhat lost with how I was still going to exercise and be a mom and work! So when we moved to SD from LA I decided to stay home with my babyman and joined Strollers Strides. It was a life changing experience and knew I had to be a part of this incredible Fit4Mom team!
So I am here to spread this love and positivity of motherhood through the strengths we have as mothers inside and out!

Hi my name is Jenny Reinbold. I have one curious, fun, sweet-but-full-of-personality, 22 month old daughter named Maci with my husband Doug who is in the US Navy. We moved here in the spring of 2014 from Arlington, Virginia which is where I grew up. I have been an elementary school counselor for 12 years but since relocating to SD I have been working as a stay-at-home mom (who rarely stays at home!). Moving to San Diego was exciting but also scary because I was a new mom who had never been out of the work force, and I hardly knew a soul. I soon joined Stroller Strides at Mission Bay and it was the best decision I’ve ever made! Not only did I get into a challenging but fun fitness routine, I was also afforded the opportunity to meet so many amazing moms that are now wonderful friends. I got to combine my love of fitness with a network of supportive and inspiring women. Stroller Strides has given me the emotional, physical, and mental support to be the best mom I can be and a role model for my daughter. I am excited to be part of the Fit4Mom team and hope to provide a fun, positive, and inspirational experience for my fellow moms.more
Hi, I'm Jessica! I live with my family in San Diego. I am a mother to two sweet little boys, AJ and Max. After a lot of moving around for my husband's job we finally settled in San Diego. After moving to San Diego I immediately went back to Stroller Strides and have been so blessed to have such amazing women in my life. This wonderful organization has brought so much joy and health into my life and I am so thankful for it. I am so lucky to be able to stay at home with my beautiful sons and watch them grow and learn everyday, and I love being able to instill heath and a love for fitness and being outdoors through Stroller Strides. Fitness is my passion and I've worked in the industry for over 5 years teaching various group exercise formats and personal training. I've wanted to be a FIT4MOM instructor since walking past the corporate office in San Marcos daily with my dog when I used to live up the street. I remember seeing the moms out there working their booties off with the kids and knew someday I'd be doing it too. Fast forward a few years and a baby girl and here I am! I love the concept of Stroller Strides and being outside and being able to connect with other moms while staying fit. It's a WIN all the way around and I'm grateful for the opportunity!more
Hi! I'm Joanna and I'm a mother to a very sweet and high spirited 2 year old little girl, Brooke. My husband, Brett and I live in here in San Diego and are trying to figure this parenting thing out step by step! I've always loved fitness and being active, yet after having Brooke in Sept '15 I felt like I'd never get time to exercise again. It was so stressful to line up childcare and try to get in a fast workout-all while worrying how Brooke was doing and feeling guilty about being away. Then I found this amazing combination of getting out of the house with the baby, getting exercise, fresh air, support, motivation and laughs with women who know exactly what you're going through....Stroller Strides!! I still marvel at the perfection of getting all of those things in one place! Becoming a mom and being a mom is tough! And no one understands that quite like other moms. I love everything about the Fit4Mom concept. I'm so happy to be teaching classes and sharing all of this with such amazing mamas! To any mom, this is home. It's taking care of yourself, setting a great example for your children and belonging to a community. I can't imagine my mama life without Fit4Mom!more
Health, wellness, and fitness have always been a huge part of my life. When I found Stroller Strides (in 2005) I knew it was going to be apart of my life for a long time. All these years later I still have a passion for what FIT4MOM stands for. Bringing mom's together. We all may be at different fitness levels, have different body types, and have kids at different ages...but what brings us together is we connect on the mom level. We all need a village in this thing called motherhood. FIT4MOM is a positive way to run the race. Come to any class and celebrate with us on what it is to be a mom all the while getting a strong workout! YAY!

Hello! My name is Juliana and I live in Rancho Penasquitos with my husband and our two children Audrey and Nathaniel. I grew up in Orange County and moved to San Diego to attend college at UCSD—Go Tritons! After college, I had plans to start nursing school but those plans were put on hold when my husband and I found out we were going to have a baby (a little detour I was more than willing to accept)! Always an avid runner, I was anxious to get back into a workout routine post-pregnancy and signed up for stroller strides with a couple friends from a moms group I started. I quickly realized how much I loved encouraging my friends to run faster and work harder, so I decided to challenge myself to become an instructor. It’s an honor to show up each day knowing I get to work among friends, motivate other mamas to be their best, and do it all WITH my daughter and son!more
I was born in Nashville, TN and moved to Albuquerque, NM when I was 8. My family still resides there but for whatever reason I knew that staying there wasn't for me, so I landed in San Diego in 1994 where I later met my best friend and soul mate, Neil. This April we will be celebrating our 18th anniversary. Then there's our greatest achievements, Ethan Justus and Monty Kenneth. I started Stroller Striding when Ethan was about 8 months old. Both of us quickly fell in love with the program and about 6 months later I found myself in instructor training...best decision ever made! Fast forward to now, Ethan is now in Elementary school and his little brother Monty (20 months) is now enjoying the benefits of strides. I can't imagine the last 5 years of my life without this amazing program and LOVE that I get to help other mom's find their strength in motherhood while showing their kiddos that fitness is FUN!more

I found my love for teaching fitness while I was a swim and water aerobics instructor during college. I graduated with my degree in Business Management in July of 2014. While finishing my last semester of college I found out I was pregnant with my son. I found Stroller Strides when he was six months old and it was the perfect fit for me. I wanted to stay active and loved having so many new friends for me and my son. After attending classes for only a few months I knew I needed to take the opportunity to become an instructor. Teaching, fitness, and motherhood are my passions, and I cannot wait to share them with you.more
I started stroller strides as a client in the summer of 2012. I was only able to be a member temporarily as I had to go back to work within a few months. In October of 2013 I quit my job and rejoined stroller strides. I took on the roll of playgroup captain in March of 2015 and that helped to pave the way to my stroller strides teaching career.

Hi Mama's! My name is Katy Funston and my husband Zach and I have two very busy babes, Ryder (2/3/12) and Addy (11/10/14). We just moved to Carmel Mountain Ranch but we like to spend a lot of time down at my husband's business Mission Bay Sportcenter, boating, paddle boarding and playing in the sand. We love San Diego sunshine!
Hello! I am Kelley and I have lived in North County San Diego my whole life with my only move being from Vista to Oceanside. I was fortunate enough to marry my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful children. Our daughter Kailey is 6 going on 7 and our son Bradley is almost 2. Growing up I have always loved sports with soccer being my favorite playing all the way through high school. After my daughter was born I relied on the gym to get my workouts in and my passion for fitness and health though nutrition grew. It wasn't until I had my son though that I found Stroller Strides. After being diagnosed with postpartum depression my husband told me about a group of moms that get together to work out with their kids and encouraged me to try it. Reluctantly I got ready and brought Bradley to my first class and felt so great after that I signed up right away and rarely missed a class. The connection between the moms along with the awesome workouts really helped me feel myself again and for that I am so grateful. Being able to combine my passion for fitness while spending time with my children and connecting with other moms really is a dream. I hope to be able to help moms through motherhood with a great workout and help start their day with a smile.more
Originally a Southern Tennessee native, I've spent the past 4 years in Oceanside, CA. My husband and I moved here due to his job with the Military! We have one little boy, Kitrick, and we hope to expand our adventurous family in the near future! We hope to stay in Southern California for long as possible, due to the perfect weather and the various outdoor opportunities it provides! Having a background in track and field, along with soccer I knew I wanted to find something where I could tote Kit along with me whilst fulfilling my need to workout without that dreaded "Mom Guilt".
I started Stroller Strides in Chattanooga, TN when Kit was 9 months old. My only regret is not taking the leap of faith to seek out such an amazing group of women sooner! Not only do you get a full body workout, you get to meet Mom's in the same place you are in! Your children get to connect with kids of all ages, learning invaluable socialization skills while building lifelong friendships!
I am the proud mama to my son Kodiak, and step mama to daughters Claudia and Anna. In my free time I like to sing, play the ukulele, and run. I feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many beautiful, supportive women everyday. Fit4mom has truly changed my life.more

Hi, my name is Lauren. :) I've recently moved to North County with my husband, Jay and son, Logan. We live on base at Camp Pendleton and I love exploring the area and filling our days with as many outdoor activities as possible. In my opinion life doesn't get much better than San Diego County! Before moving here I lived in New York and worked as a dancer and dance instructor for many years. When I'm not busy being Logan's mommy, I'm studying to get my MS in Fitness and Nutrition. Between my dance background and current school studies, Fit4Mom has been a dream come true for me! I'm honored to join the team and work with so many strong mamas through Stroller Strides and Fit4Mom!more

San Diego native! Swam competitively from age 3 - 23, ran track and played water polo in high school and college. Working out and being an athlete has been my life. I worked out during my pregnancy, felt great and had a magical overall experience so after I had baby I couldn't wait to find something I could do to stay fit, without leaving my baby, ever. Thank God I found just that and became an instructor around 8 weeks postpartum.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Lorena moved to San Diego in 2007 to get an MBA in Finance from USCD. In 2012 she met her now husband, Andrew, and in 2015 they welcomed Tiago into the world! As soon as she got her doctor's clearance at 6 weeks post-partum, Lorena attended her first Stroller Strides class in Cardiff and has been in love with it ever since. A fitness fanatic her whole life and former soccer player and marathon runner, becoming a Stroller Strides instructor was a natural fit.
Lorena enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, riding bikes, going for runs and hikes and playing on the beach.
Hi! My name is Lorraine, and I am the proud mother of Colt (born March 2015). I was born and raised on the East coast, but have called California my home since 2006. Physical activity has always been a huge part of my life. My passion for fitness only intensified with the birth of my son, so I was extremely grateful to find Stroller Strides! I have personally benefitted so much from the Fit4Mom programs, I decided to become an instructor to give back ;)more
My name is Marisa and I have a son, Orin (5) and daughter, Celeste (2). As a lifelong runner and native Southern Californian, I first found Stroller Strides in 2013 while I was living in Connecticut and the weather became too cold to run outside with my then one year old son. Needless to say, it was love at first stride and I became an instructor at that franchise not long after. I thank my lucky stars every day that I found such an amazing community along with it as well!
As luck would have it, we were able to move back to CA in May and I was fortunate enough to become an instructor here at Alga Norte Park in Carlsbad shortly after. I am so thrilled to be able to continue to pursue my passion to love, challenge and inspire all the amazing Mamas to find their strength in motherhood!
Hi Mamas! My husband and I relocated from WI to San Diego in 2010. My love for fitness started through Pilates while I was rehabbing from lower back pain. I had such amazing success in healing through Pilates that I decided to pursue my certification to teach it. After an intensive 2 year program, I obtained my full equipment certification through STOTT Pilates in 2008. I worked for several years teaching at various Pilates studios. In 2009, I started to branch out into more fusion-styles of fitness and I gained my TRX certification. Once I relocated to San Diego I began working at a studio teaching cycling and classes on the Gravity Training System (GTS). In 2015, I also obtained my certification as an ACE Group Fitness Instructor. After the birth of my son Zion in 2016, I struggled to balance fitness and motherhood and began feeling like I was losing a large part of who I was. Fit4Mom has been a life-changing opportunity for me to balance fitness, being a mom, and being able to help other moms balance those things as well. I am currently working as a sub all over San Diego, I hope to see you at a class soon!more
I am the instructor for our fantastic Scripps Ranch location on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My hubby Zack and I have a 3 year old daughter Ella and a baby son Max. Our family resides in Mira Mesa. I joined Stroller Strides six weeks after Ella was born. We have been hooked ever since (Ella even tries to do exercises at home now!) I had been a competitive swimmer in high school and a long-time yoga and pilates enthusiast but I had never found such a comprehensive and fun workout until I discovered Stroller Strides. The community of women and children Stroller Strides provided was also invaluable to me as an initially nervous first-time mom. Originally from Los Angeles, I graduated Emerson College in beautiful Boston with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. In 2006, a television news producing job brought me to San Diego. I look forward to meeting you!more
Hi there! My name is Nikki and I am thrilled to be part of the stroller strides team and an amazing organization. I am a native San Diegan and now live in Rancho Penasquitos with my family. I have a sweet, energetic little boy named Hayes (3) and two beautiful step-children, Miles (14) and Marley (12). I joined stroller strides when Hayes was 8 weeks old as this Mama needed to get out of the house! What I found was a community of strong, supportive Moms that I am so grateful to be a part of. Prior to becoming a full-time mom I worked at Rady Children's Hospital as a Medical Social Worker. Sports and fitness have always been a huge part of my life. I have played many different sports, including my love volleyball at the college level, and coached girls club for the past 10 years. I am passionate about fitness and embrace my role as an instructor. This village is amazing and an integral part of Hayes' and my life. We look forward to meeting you!more
I initially joined the Fit4Mom family in 2007 as a Stroller Strides instructor. Now that my children have outgrown the stroller, I have been honored to have the opportunity to continue with the Fit4Mom family as a Body Back Instructor. Before becoming a mother, I worked in law. Now I can't see ever working anywhere else. Fit4Mom is not just a fitness program - it's a family, a sisterhood and a support system I could not imagine my life without. Helping to support mothers to be the best mom, wife and woman they can be is my ultimate goal. I look forward to sharing this experience and way of life with each and every member of the family.more
Hi mamas! I'm Rachel Kitt. I was born and raised in Los Altos, California. I went to school at the University of Arizona (bear down!). I played lots of sports growing up and picked up the running bug in 2009. I've completed 13 half-marathons and dozens of shorter races since. I've lived in San Diego for 10 years now and am the proud mama of two sweet girls, Abigail born in March 2013 and Charlotte born in May 2015. I joined Stroller Strides in May 2014.
My name is Samar. I am the mom of an awesome, lively and curious little girl named Madeline ( 7/20/15 ). I was born and raised in Colorado, graduated from the California Maritime Academy and spent 15 yrs shipping around the world in the Merchant Marine. Exercise has always been a part of my life from adolescent sports: gymnastics, volleyball to adult fun with snowboarding and surfing. Exercise is my release and my friend. Shortly after having Madeline I found myself wanting more.... Ha!
I wanted to get back into shape and I wanted to get out of the house. I wanted to find a community, a support group. Luckily for me, I was swooped up and brought into this incredible group of Moms! Fit4moms has gotten me back into shape. I again feel healthy and strong, part of a tribe. As an instructor I strive to give back all that has and continues to be given to me!
Hi! I'm Sarah and I have two adorable kids, Emily (4) and Noah (19mths) with my husband, David. I am originally from England but have been in California for 20 years now! We currently live in Poway and love it! We're so lucky to have family close by and spend a lot of time with them. Before having kids, I was the financial controller of a successful seafood company but couldn't imagine going back to work full time once Emily was born.
I have been attending Stroller Strides classes since Emily was born and I love everything about it! It has been such a wonderful (sanity saving!) experience. Not only are the workouts amazing, but the friendships that I and my children have made through our village will be lifelong. The benefits of Stroller Strides have had such a positive impact on my life and I finally decided it was time to give a little back. I am so excited to join the FIT4MOM team! I see new moms attend class frequently, and to be able to help them through one of the most challenging periods of their life, will be so rewarding.
Growing up I enjoyed dancing and ice skating - I have always loved fitness and used to teach pilates classes. Recently I have developed a love for running and am currently training for my first half marathon!
I am originally from Switzerland where I got a Master degree in Physical Education. I taught High School physical education and also got a degree from SAFS and AFA to teach Aerobics and Body Pump classes. I've been teaching STROLLER STRIDES at Mission Bay for almost 12 years(my son Andy just turned 12!), where I've met the most amazing moms over the last decade and couldn't imagine my life without it! I also teach STROLLER BARRE and BODY BACK, two amazing programs to get you in your best shape ever!
If you didn't know me really well you probably wouldn't know that I was born and raised in Spain (yes the country). Living in Spain was a wonderful experience because I was outside in the dirt, at the beach, in reservoirs; I was never inside. When I moved to Southern California (when I was 12), my love for the outdoors continued to grow and I became heavily involved in running and volleyball. As my life changed one thing stayed consistent, I stayed active. Now that I have two little boys we are never home (when it is time to go home my children cry because they know it is time to sleep). When I discovered Fit4Mom I was instantly hooked and have loved every component of it. I am over the moon excited to be able to work out with a wonderful village with my kids.more
My name is Stephanie McFerran. Before becoming a mom I was a Behavior Therapist and love working with children and always have had a passion for health! I now have a little girl of my own named Kenlie who was born August 16, 2012 in Encinitas, CA. Once I became a mom I found that support from other moms was critical! I also found that I needed to be as healthy as I could be to take good care of my little one. I found all that with FIT4MOM. As a first time mom I found ALL the support I could possibly ask for, a way to stay healthy and modeling the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to my daughter through FIT4MOM. Now as an instructor I hope that I can be the a part of your journey as a healthy mom. I hope to give you support, help you live a healthy lifestyle, help you love your body, and embarke in a positive healthy environment all while having your beautiful baby by your side. As moms we can have such a huge impact on our littles lets help them see the importance of health one stride at a time!more
Hey Hey! Like most of you, I mostly go by Mom but you can call me Stephanie! I am a toddler momma to a strong-willed, energetic and loving daughter named Jayde and expecting a baby boy in 2018! We are a military family which means moving every few years and adapting to all the changes that come with that. Finding an uplifting and empowering community to be a part of makes ALL the difference! I am incredibly thankful to have been connected with Fit4Mom. It’s not only for us as moms, but for our children. The fact that they can be there with us, learn by example and build their own friendships makes this momma tribe even better!
Hello! My name is Tina Sullivan, and I am a Stay-at-Home Mama. We moved to San Diego in June of 2017, and we absolutely LOVE it. My husband, Kevin, is in the Navy and works at NMCSD. God has blessed us with two beautiful children: Kathleen (4) & James (2).
I loved playing sports in high school, but my passion for fitness developed in college. I ran cross country and played softball for the university. During that time, I grew so much, not only physically, but mentally. I loved the community and friendships that I created with my teammates. Practices, lifting, and conditioning were fun because of those beautiful and inspiring ladies.
Over these last four years of being a stay-at-home mom, what I missed the most was my team - the community of friends who would build me up when I was down. When I joined Fit4Mom, I struggled making it to classes. I wanted to cancel my membership, but my sweet instructor took the time to tell me that I could pick myself and try again. She reminded me that Motherhood comes with ups & downs. And I am so GRATEFUL she pushed me to give it another shot.
Fit4Mom has changed our lives for the better. Stroller Strides has given me a chance to bond with my children in a way where I haven't before. I have been able to create friendships that help me through the workouts and through motherhood - the good and the bad.
I am so excited to be a part of this team, and I hope this community can give you the support and love you deserve. I look forward to meeting you!
My name is Tina Thomas and I moved to San Diego when my daughter, Gabrielle, was 4 months old. When we moved here, we didn’t know anyone and it was really hard with a baby and no friends around. I came across Stroller Strides in Oceanside and loved not only the workout but also the community of super friendly and supportive moms who made me feel accepted instantly. Few months later attended BodyBack and fell in love with Fit4mom as a whole. I feel honored that I get to share my passion for fitness with an incredible group of moms. I’ve been teaching bodyback since June 2016 and loving it. I can’t think of anything else that I would rather do for work that makes me feel happier as a person and a mom!more
Hi, I'm Whitney and I'm so excited to be part of the Fit4mom family! I'm originally from Fallbrook, CA and fitness/ sports were always a huge part of my childhood. I played every sport you can think of! Eventually, I settled on swimming and water polo and came to terms with the fact that my hair was going to forever smell like chlorine. Once I moved up to LA to go to college, I decided it was time to take a break from the pool and never-ending wedgies :) Even though I stopped playing sports competitively, I was always passionate about trying new workouts programs. Fast forward a few years and I married my high school sweetheart who moved me all over the south during his Air Force career. We had my son, Warren, in North Carolina and I was looking for a way to workout without having to drop my son off in daycare. I decided to take a leap and started attending classes in North Carolina when my son was a year old. I immediately got hooked and developed such amazing friendships from my time there. The moms in the group became family and truly helped me survive the early stages of motherhood. Now that we've moved back to CA (and my hometown) I'm excited to be helping moms reach their fitness goals, all while allowing them to make lasting friendships (and maintain their sanity).more
As a transplant from New Jersey, I love that I get to call San Diego home! My goal in life is to find the fun in what ever I am doing. FUN is my most important value and it took me almost 40 years to realize that. I think that is why I decided to become an instructor. Attending Stroller Strides was always fun, even on those tough days where I wish I could just stay in bed. As an instructor, I want mamas to access what’s important to them and meet them where they are.more
