Is this just an exercise group of moms that get together to walk?

I love this question. The answer is NO! These classes are no walk in the park... In just one hour you will get a complete head to toe workout that will have you feeling energized and looking fit! Classes are designed for ALL different fitness levels and are taught by certified instructors who are also moms. During our stations, we use resistance bands, open fields for drills or obstacles, benches or steps and anything in the environment to give you a great workout! Don't be surprised if you find yourself saying words like "burpee" or "plank" before long!

Can I join Stroller Strides if I am pregnant?

YES, YES, YES! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise through their pregnancy as long as everything has been approved by their physician. Instructors are trained in both pre and post natal fitness and follow the ACOG guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses an issue as you progress through your pregnancy. Stroller Strides does require a Doctors approval prior to beginning Stroller Strides if pregnant and that form can be emailed to you, so you are ready to go on your first day! Exercise during pregnancy helps improve or increase:

  • Cardiovascular fitness
  • Muscular strength/endurance
  • Energy levels
  • Higher fatigue threshold
  • Posture and biomechanics
  • Circulation
  • Self-esteem, sense of well-being
  • Recovery time

What do I need to bring to class?

Other than you, your baby, and our stroller... We suggest wearing comfortable moisture wicking clothes and athletic shoes. Please bring a towel or mat for our ground exercises and plenty of water! For outdoor classes please bring a hat and/or sunblock. Don't forget to pack baby some snacks for the ride too!

Do I need a jogger stroller?

NO! While we are BOB jogger fanatics, just about any stroller will do so long as it's not prone to tipping; we don't recommend umbrella strollers since they are not very maneuverable. Our mommies have mastered classes with snap-n-go's and other travel systems!

How long are the Stroller Strides workouts?

The workouts are 1-hour unless otherwise noted. The class is usually set up with a 5-minute warm up followed by a 45-minute full body workout with the stroller that includes power walking or running, cardio blasts and body toning stations. The last 10 minutes is for abs and stretching.

How old does my baby have to be?

Always obtain your physician's approval before beginning any exercise routine! Unless you have a medical condition that limits you, your physician will typically give the thumbs up at 6 weeks postpartum. As long as your child is still enjoying the ride and can remain safely buckled in the stroller, they can take classes up to any age... our oldest workout buddy so far has been 6 years old!

What do I do if my baby gets fussy during class?

Our first priority during Stroller Strides classes is the happiness of your baby. Tend to your baby first. We stop every few minutes for body toning, so you can always catch up with us if you get behind and someone will always stay with you to keep you company. Our instructors will do their very best to make the class enjoyable for both you and your baby!

What's our Rainy Day Plan?

Here in sunny So Cal, bad weather is hardly a problem! If weather seems to be severe and/or unsafe (pouring rain, high winds, extreme heat), class will move indoors at our locations which offer an alternate meeting spot.

Class will still be held outside at its regular time in light drizzle if the sidewalks are safe to walk and push a stroller on. Please be sure to dress the kids warmly, and bring a rain shield for your stroller. Please check with your location's instructor's Facebook page for up to date info on class status.

How do I enroll?

Click on "ENROLL". Select the location where you would like to attend. Click on the date that you would like to attend and click "Enroll". You will be redirected to a registration page.

If you have not enrolled prior to class or signed the class waiver electronically, you will be able to do so on location before class.

What if I enrolled and didn’t make it to class?

Class attendance is recorded by the instructor at each class and even if you enrolled, unless you are present you will not be counted. This means that if you are a class pass holder, you will not be charged for that class.

Are your classes peanut free?

We ask that everyone attending class refrain from bringing snacks or other food items that contain peanuts.

Can I take classes while on vacation?

If you are a member of the Fit4Mom San Diego franchise and will be going on vacation, please reach out directly to the franchisee that operates that territory.

If you are a member of a Fit4Mom program outside of the San Diego franchise, we would love to have you attend up to two of our classes for free. If you want to attend more than that, a nominal fee will apply for up to 9 classes. Ten classes or more require the purchase of a 10-Class Pass. Which pass is right for me?

It is more economical to have a monthly membership rather than a 10 block pass if you attend classes more than once/week. The 10 block pass costs you $13/class and at $65/month once you attend 6 classes in a month then the membership is more economical. If you plan on attending more frequently for a few months then the tri class pass may be best for you. Passes bought through Fit4Mom San Diego are good at any of our locations within our San Diego franchise. If unsure which pass is best for you, consult with any of our instructors and they can help you decide. You can buy the passes online or from any of our instructors at class.

How do I log into my Front Desk account?
